The Barn shortlisted for prestigious Award

Kel Chiong

Our project, “The Barn, Culverhill,” showcases the pinnacle of sustainable design and sympathetic heritage conversion within the Tamar Valley AONB. This 1910 agricultural building has undergone a remarkable transformation into a 100% off-grid dwelling, complete with innovative features like solar PV, ground source heat pump, and EV charging. Achieving an exceptional EPC rating of 154, our fabric-first approach sets a new standard for energy efficiency.

We will be attending the awards dinner on June 27th at Sandy Park Conference Centre, Exeter, as we aim to claim the top prize!

Speaking about our shortlisting, Mike Fisher, Partner, said: “We are pleased to be shortlisted for Heritage Project of the Year at the Michelmores Property Awards. The Barn, Culverhill is a testament to our commitment to sustainable and sympathetic development within the Tamar Valley AONB. Its off-grid features and exceptional energy efficiency showcase our dedication to innovative and environmentally conscious design. It’s great to see a modest yet innovative project be shortlisted and congratulations to all the teams recognised this year in the awards.”
