As a practice, we understand the effects of climate change and the increasing challenges to our planet. We also acknowledge the significant impact buildings have regarding carbon emissions. As designers, we recognise our responsibility to reduce this. Bailey Partnership has therefore set a target of achieving Net Zero by 2030 both as a business and in the buildings we produce.
We have demonstrated our commitment by joining the RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge and seek to encourage, support and provide guidance to our clients via their own Net Zero ambitions. The challenge is made up of four targets: to reduce operational energy demand; reduce embodied carbon; reduce potable water; and achieve health and wellbeing targets on temperature, daylight and indoor air quality.
