Construction Overview

Modular construction

The building was designed as a hybrid construction, combining 83 off-site manufactured modules forming the main structure with a traditional steel frame. Precast concrete planks and stairs form the primary stair and lift core, linking the modular building to two existing buildings on site.

A fully accessible rooftop plant deck is located behind a louvred screen, accommodating key mechanical plant and full ventilation systems.

External works include soft landscaping with provision for a future rehabilitation garden for dementia and stroke patients, improvements to paediatric garden areas, relocated car parking, new generators, and a steam connection.
