Building a Practice
Where Everyone Belongs
At Bailey Partnership, we know that great design and delivery depend on diverse voices, equitable opportunities, and an inclusive environment.
Our commitment to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) is more than a policy. It’s a practice-wide priority that shapes how we lead, how we work, and how we grow.
Our 2025 EDI Manifesto sets out a clear vision: to become a beacon of inclusion in the construction industry, with a workforce that reflects the richness of the communities we serve from across our 13 offices.
With representation across our leadership and project teams, we are embedding inclusive design into every project and building a culture of belonging internally.
From data-led diversity audits to targeted recruitment strategies, inclusive design reviews and visible allyship campaigns, our EDI Committee is driving change across the practice.
We hold ourselves accountable through public reporting, ongoing staff engagement, and a clear action plan for improvement.
We’re proud to share our progress with you. You can read our full EDI Manifesto here.
Our Key
Current Priorities
Visibility, Transparency & Accountability: We are committed to making our EDI work visible and measurable. This includes clear communications, public reporting, and regular updates on our progress so staff, clients, and partners can see what we’re doing and how we’re improving.
Understanding Who We Are: We are building a robust baseline of workforce diversity through anonymous data collection and annual reporting. Understanding who we are is essential to understanding where we need to improve.
Inclusive Recruitment & Progression: We are developing recruitment and progression strategies that support underrepresented groups to build a workforce that better reflects the communities we work within.
Inclusive Design in Practice: Inclusion doesn’t stop with our people. We are working to embed inclusive design principles across all projects, ensuring the environments we create are accessible, equitable, and responsive to diverse needs.
Supporting Diverse Needs at Work: We are strengthening flexible working practices, training, workplace adjustments, and inclusive leadership practices and line manager capability to support people at different stages of life and with different needs.
