Job Description & Key Duties

As a Trainee Architectural Technician, you will be an integral and supporting part of the architectural design team.  Key duties include:

  • Learn and assist with various tasks: This could include preparing technical drawings, drafting specifications, assisting with site visits, researching building regulations, and supporting with project documentation.
  • Develop proficiency in CAD & design software: Trainees will likely receive training and practice using industry-standard software like AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp.
  • Gain understanding of building regulations and standards
  • Contribute to project communication and coordination: This could involve attending meetings, taking notes, and communicating with different stakeholders.
  • Complete assigned tasks and projects: This could involve preparing presentations, conducting research, or creating small-scale design proposals.

  • Carry out design-stage risk assessment

Essential Criteria

Candidates should have a minimum of four GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, including English, maths and combined science, and at least one of the following:

  • 48 UCAS tariff points
  • a BTEC Level 3 qualification in a related subject
  • an Advanced Apprenticeship
  • an NVQ Level 3 qualification in a related subject
  • equivalent qualifications or relevant work experience
  • T Level pass in an appropriate subject area

All level 3 qualifications should include appropriate elements of level 3 mathematics and science. Should the entry requirements not be met then individual cases will be considered.

The successful candidate should also have a good understanding of what the discipline of Architectural design involves, and be fully aware of the career path ahead.

Due to our continued success we are looking to appoint an Apprentice Civil and Structural Engineer for our Exeter Office.  The successful individual will be enrolled onto a Civil Engineering Degree Apprenticeship with Exeter University where after 5 years years you will be awarded BEng in Civil Engineering and their professional accreditation (IEng status) through the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).

Key Duties

  • Generally working with the team and assisting staff both in the office and at site visits

Senior Structural Engineer

As a result of our continued success and expansion, and an ongoing portfolio of work in the energy sector, we are looking to appoint a motivated Senior Structural Engineer to work from our multidisciplinary office in Bury St Edmunds.  The role will aim to provide and maintain a close working relationship with an important local client, whilst also looking to increase our presence in the area. The candidate will work alongside, and support our busy Structural and Civil Engineering team in Exeter.

The individual will be Chartered or near Chartered with a minimum 7 years postgraduate experience and be able to carry out designs,  in all materials, on a broad range of structural engineering projects, including; residential, commercial, renewables, educational, leisure and coastal. The candidate will be familiar with Eurocode and have good report writing skills.  It is desirable for the candidate to have experience with aspects of civil engineering design including drainage, although this is not essential.

What

As the Digital Marketing Assistant, you will be responsible for developing creative and compelling content to drive growth and engagement through all social media platforms.
