Bailey Partnership recognised as a trailblazing company in The Building Good Employer Guide 2026
Bailey Partnership has been recognised as one of 52 “trailblazing companies” featured in the The Building Good Employer Guide 2026, published by Building Magazine.
The annual guide highlights organisations across the built environment that are setting a strong example in how they support, develop and care for their people. This year’s edition features companies spanning consultants, architects, contractors, manufacturers and clients, each demonstrating a commitment to creating positive and progressive workplaces.
Demonstrating good practice in action
To be included in the guide, participating organisations were required to provide detailed information about their workforce, policies and performance. Entrants were asked not only to outline the benefits available to employees but also to demonstrate how good employment practices are embedded into everyday working life and how their impact is measured.
Bailey Partnership’s inclusion reflects a range of initiatives designed to support employee wellbeing, inclusion and long-term career development.
Among the areas highlighted in the guide are the practice’s people-focused policies and benefits, including a fertility journey policy that provides paid time off for fertility-assisted treatments such as IVF, IUI and egg or embryo freezing. Importantly, this leave is available not only to the person undergoing treatment but also to their partner, recognising the wider emotional and practical impact of fertility treatment.
The guide also highlights Bailey Partnership’s commitment to fair and accessible recruitment, with processes designed to reduce bias through anonymised applications and accessible interviews.
Supporting health and wellbeing
Employee wellbeing is another area recognised in the guide. Bailey Partnership offers healthcare benefits that extend beyond typical private healthcare provisions, including hearing care, which is not commonly included in many employer healthcare plans.
The practice also provides annual cancer screenings for all staff, covering breast, cervical and prostate screening, helping to support early detection and proactive health management.
Building a strong culture
For Managing Director Simon Zawada, recognition in the Good Employer Guide reflects the culture the practice has worked hard to build as it has grown.
“When I look at where we are today – a multidisciplinary practice with over 200 talented individuals across the UK and Gibraltar – I am incredibly proud, not just of the projects we deliver, but of the culture we have built.”
A commitment to people
As a multidisciplinary consultancy working across architecture, engineering and the built environment, Bailey Partnership recognises that its success is driven by the people behind the projects.
Being featured in the Building Good Employer Guide 2026 highlights the importance of continuing to invest in policies, support systems and workplace practices that enable employees to thrive professionally and personally.
By focusing on wellbeing, fairness and long-term career development, Bailey Partnership aims to create an environment where individuals feel supported to grow, contribute and build rewarding careers.
