Bailey Partnership project news!

Kel Chiong

We’ve been a little quiet on the project announcement front lately, as we’ve been deeply engaged in collaborating with our clients on some truly exciting ventures. Our dedication to delivering exceptional results has kept us busy, but we’re incredibly proud of the innovative work we do and the strong, ongoing relationships we’ve built with our clients. Today, we’re thrilled to share some of our latest project wins that highlight our commitment to excellence and innovation in the industry.

Medway Council – We have been working with the council for a number of years, successfully delivering a number of projects across the Medway Towns. We are delighted to be continuing this relationship with the council on the following projects:

Gun Wharf RAAC removal and refurbishment – Bailey Partnership is thrilled to have been appointed as multidisciplinary consultants for the RAAC removal and refurbishment programme at Gun Wharf, which aims to address the discovery of RAAC concrete in the pitched roof areas, which has significantly reduced usable space and necessitated health and safety measures. Our team has been appointed to manage the safe removal or containment of RAAC concrete, replacing it with more thermally efficient and safe materials. Key elements include improving the building’s green credentials through window replacements, enhanced insulation and other sustainability measures.. The programme also focuses on better space utilisation, upgrading council chambers and a data centre, ongoing maintenance, and ensuring the building’s long-term sustainability. Our phased approach to the works will keep parts of the building operational during works. The project will adhere to RIBA stages 0-6, with the first stages already commissioned.

Full condition surveys – Our building surveying team have been appointed to conduct full condition surveys within properties at several locations.

CCTV Control Room Hub – The project involves the partial remodelling of an existing data centre at Gun Wharf, Chatham to serve as a dedicated CCTV hub, replacing the current CCTV monitoring centre in Strood. Bailey Partnership has been appointed as multidisciplinary consultants to manage and deliver the transformation of the existing data centre and office space to facilitate a new state-of-the-art CCTV control room. The scope of work includes designing and implementing a new access and escape route to ensure the facility meets all safety and operational requirements. This upgrade aims to enhance surveillance capabilities, improve operational efficiency, and ensure seamless integration with existing security infrastructure.

Kingfisher School expansion – Kingfisher Primary School, located in Princes Park, Chatham, Kent, and part of the Griffin School Trust, has appointed Bailey Partnership to assist with their expansion from a 1FE to a 2FE. Medway Council has commissioned a comprehensive feasibility study to identify the additional space and facilities required to accommodate this expansion. Both Medway Council and the school/trust will provide input into the initial proposals, ensuring that the development meets the needs of the growing student population and enhances the learning environment. The feasibility study will cover space planning, facility upgrades, and potential impacts on the existing infrastructure to create a well-rounded plan for the school’s future.

In addition to the above, we are delighted to have been appointed on the following:

Woking Borough Council – We have been appointed as a multidisciplinary consultancy to support the council in its delivery of its fire safety works programme. Procured via LHC’s Fire Compliance Framework, the team is thrilled to be working with Woking BC for the first time delivering substantial and complex packages of fire safety works throughout the council’s housing portfolio.

Haringey Council, Bury Road Car Park fire strategy works – The council requires a retrospective fire strategy for a car park building that spans several streets and incorporates residential and commercial uses. We will review provided documentation, identify additional information needed, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Our approach will identify fire safety objectives, assessing site constraints, and conducting a gap analysis to develop a thorough fire strategy.

Procurement for Housing Fire Safety Consultancy Services – LOT 3 – Fire Engineering Consultancy Services offering a full RIBA stage of works across new build and refurbishment projects, including feasibility and options appraisals, design, specification development and, where required, procurement and project management services.
