Bailey Partnership Named RTPI South West Small Planning Consultancy of the Year 2026

We are pleased to announce that our Planning Team has been named Small Planning Consultancy of the Year at the Royal Town Planning Institute’s (RTPI) South West Awards for Planning Excellence 2026.

This prestigious regional recognition highlights our team’s dedication to delivering high-quality, sustainable, and collaborative planning solutions across the South West. Following this regional victory, the team automatically advances as national finalists for the upcoming RTPI National Awards for Planning Excellence, scheduled to take place in London this December.

Planning with Purpose

Members of our planning division received the accolade at the RTPI Summer Reception and Awards Ceremony. The event provided an exceptional forum to connect with industry peers, celebrate the evolution of the profession, and engage with the core themes shaping the future of the built environment.

A central highlight of the ceremony was an address by RTPI President Jan Bessell, centering on her overarching theme: “Planning with Purpose.” The address served as a timely call to action, framing town planning not merely as a regulatory mechanism, but as a transformative, values-driven discipline. This perspective reinforces our own operational philosophy at Bailey Partnership – a belief that successful development relies on cross-discipline collaboration and a shared commercial responsibility to deliver thriving, equitable, and highly sustainable communities.

A Collaborative Achievement

Successfully navigating complex planning frameworks requires a balance of technical expertise, rigorous quality assurance, and deep regional insight. This award reflects the consistent standard of work executed by our team on behalf of our clients, ensuring intricate briefs are translated into viable, community-centric realities.

We extend our sincere thanks to the RTPI South West committee for hosting an outstanding event, and we offer our congratulations to all the fellow consultancies nominated within our category, as well as the broader line-up of regional winners and commended practices.

Our team looks forward to joining the country’s top planning talent at the National Awards finals in December.
